Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
Pinpal ("the App") is designed to help you save locations and navigate back to them using Google Maps. This privacy policy explains what information the App accesses, how that information is used to keep your privacy
Information the App Uses
- Geolocation (Location): The App requests access to your device's geolocation to save your current location and provide navigation directions. Location access is requested so as to allow the app to function according to how it was programmed
- Local storage: Saved locations (name, latitude, longitude, and timestamp) are stored locally in your browser using
localStorage. These items remain on your local storage on which we can't access it - No account or server collection: The App does not collect or transmit saved locations to any server by default. All data stays on your device unless you manually share the location to someone
Third-party Services
The App uses Google Maps URLs to show locations and start navigation. When you open a map or navigation link, you are taken to Google Maps (web or app) and subject to Google's terms and privacy policy
Cookies and Analytics
The App may include a small analytics tracking snippet (Google Analytics) to measure usage and improve the application. This analytics data is limited and is used only for improving the application. Also we use advertising companies like Adsense and Propeller ads to show ads. Google uses cookies to serve ads.
Security
Saved locations are stored locally on your device. If you share your device or clear site data, these items may be removed. Always use the App over HTTPS for geolocation to function correct
